It started with a driving test. A learner was 14 weeks out — way too long — and somewhere out there, someone else had the exact slot they needed. They just had no way to find each other.
That's the problem TestSwap was built to solve. And it's not unique to driving tests. The same thing happens with hospital appointments, university exam slots, GP bookings — any time two people hold dates they'd be better off swapping, but have no way to connect.
We started with DVSA practical tests in 2021 because the need was clear, the stakes were high, and the process was well-defined. We built a peer-to-peer matching engine that runs continuously across all 354 DVSA test centres. When two learners match, both get notified, both agree, both call DVSA on 0300 200 1122. Done.
No bots. No scraping. No fake cancellations. Just two real people who have exactly what the other needs.
