How to change your Brighton test date to an earlier one

How to change your Brighton driving test date through DVSA

If you need to move to a later date or cancel entirely, here's the DVSA process:

   Log in to DVSA

   Go to gov.uk and sign in with your driving test booking details (driving licence number and booking reference).

   Select "Change date"

   Choose the option to change your test date. DVSA will show you the next available slots at your chosen centre — in most cities this means a wait of several more weeks.

3. 3

   Choose a new slot

   Select an available slot and confirm. Note: in Brighton new slots are currently 12–18 weeks away — if you want an earlier date, TestSwap is the better option.

4. 4

   Give 3 clear working days' notice

   DVSA requires at least 3 clear working days' notice to change or cancel without losing your test fee. Changes within that window may incur a fee.
