How TestSwap works, what we expect from you, and what you can expect from us. Plain English, no jargon.
TestSwap doesn't favour any user over another. Every learner is matched on an equal, first-come-first-served basis. We have no connection to the DVSA or government, and we can't influence test availability. We just help learners who already have bookings find each other.
We only collect what we need: your name, email, test date, and centre. We never sell your information to driving schools, insurers, or anyone else. Your DVSA booking reference is encrypted and only shared with your matched partner after both of you have agreed to the swap.
Each account is limited to 2 completed swaps, full stop. This keeps the platform fair and prevents a small number of people from taking up all the available matches. Once you've used both, your account will show a message letting you know.
Don't submit fake or duplicate bookings. Don't use bots or create multiple accounts. Don't decline matches repeatedly without good reason. Anyone found abusing the platform gets permanently removed.
Matching is based on date compatibility, test centre proximity (within the DVSA's 20-mile rule), and how long you've been waiting. Requests are processed in order — the longer you've been searching, the better your chance of matching. We don't sell queue position or fast-track access.
There is no fee to swap your driving test date on TestSwap. Registering is free. Matching is free. The swap itself is free. There is no premium plan, no paid priority, and no paywall. Ever.
TestSwap is an independent website. We are not part of the government, we are not endorsed by the DVSA, and we have no ability to create, cancel, or move test bookings on your behalf. Everything happens through you — you make the call to DVSA on 0300 200 1122 yourself once a swap is agreed.
